Barry Gray
(July 18, 1908 - April 26, 1984) composed, arranged, and conducted the music for Stingray, and composed most of the music that was used in many of Gerry Anderson's works up until 1976, when he left after finishing the first season of Space: 1999. Gray first joined AP films in 1956 to work on The Adventures of Twizzle, where he went on to work on series such as Stingray, Fireball XL5, Thunderbirds, and Captain Scarlet and the Mysterons.

Stingray was the first time that Gray had access to a larger orchestra than he had been able to have previously. The previous orchestra size had been 24-piece-Gray was able to increase the size to a 38-piece orchestra, which would carry over into the Thunderbirds series.
